Carol brings more than a decade in state and local government procurement experience to 91proÊÓÆµ where she will connect member companies to procurement officials across the country.
Prior to joining 91proÊÓÆµ Carol served as TechAmerica’s Vice President for State & Local Government (SLG), which was part of the association’s Global Public Sector Government Affairs department. In this capacity, she served as the issue expert for state procurement legislation and policy in the United States and she organized SLG and Education events that permitted TechAmerica members an opportunity to engage with government officials at meetings, private dinners, and widely attended events. Carol was also the lead staff support to TechAmerica’s State and Local Government Board of Directors. She is an active member of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) via both its Corporate Leadership Council and its State IT Procurement Modernization Committee.
During late 2011 and early 2012, Carol served as Staff Director for the Cloud Commission on State & Local Government under the auspices of the TechAmerica Foundation. This effort culminated in a successful report The Cloud Imperative: Better Collaboration, Better Service and Better Cost, which was released in February 2012.
Carol joined the organization in 2000 when it was known as the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA). Prior to working for ITAA, Carol managed State & Local Government Affairs for Cisco Systems Inc. (San Jose). Previously, she served as State & Local Government Affairs Manager as well as Export Control Manager at Varian Associates Inc. (Palo Alto). She began her career in Washington DC working for the federal government. Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Alma College in Alma, Michigan.
