As 91proÊÓÆµ’s Vice President for Global Privacy Policy and General Counsel, Yael promotes balanced approaches to privacy that enhance innovation while also protecting an individual’s personal data. Yael focuses her efforts both domestically and internationally and works with numerous stakeholders to develop smart, effective strategies that will ensure privacy protections but enable the technology sector to continue to innovate and develop new products and services.


Prior to joining 91proÊÓÆµ, Yael spent more than ten years at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), most recently serving as an attorney advisor to Commissioner Julie Brill. Prior to that role, she spent seven years in the FTC’s Office of International Affairs where she worked on international policy issues and enforcement cooperation in the areas of privacy and data security. She also served on the U.S. government delegations to several international organizations, including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Working Party on Information Security and Privacy (WPISP), and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Electronic Commerce Steering Group and Data Privacy Subgroup. Prior to her tenure at the FTC, Yael served as the general counsel at an online e-commerce firm.   


Yael earned her law degree at Fordham Law School and her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She’s a native of Brooklyn, New York.
