Renewing your Registration for Sole proprietorship/Partnership

You must renew the business registration before the expiry date if you intend to continue running the sole proprietorship/partnership. You can renew the business registration up to 60 days before the expiry date. If you are late in renewing the business registration, a penalty may be imposed for late renewal. 

Business registration renewals require owners to be up-to-date with their MediSave contributions 鈥 either paid in full or have an active GIRO arrangement with CPF Board. 

Existing business registrations may be subject to early cancellation if any of the owners are not up-to-date with their MediSave contributions.

For renewal of business registration, the following payment modes will be accepted:

  • Credit/ Debit Card (Visa or MasterCard); 
  • PayPal;
  • Apple Pay;
  • Google Pay

Existing business owners who are on GIRO may use any one of the payment modes above, as GIRO payment option will no longer be available from 1 September 2024.

 Note: It is an offence to carry on business after the business registration has expired.




Submitting your transaction via Bizfile

Log in to . 

Submit an application via the "" eService. Select the period of renewal and proceed with the online payment. You have the option to renew the registration for one year or three years:

*The three-year renewal option is only available if:

  • You have no outstanding MediSave contributions with the CPF Board, or
  • You are on an active GIRO instalment plan for your MediSave contributions with a good payment record i.e. monthly Medisave contributions for up to 24 months prior to renewing the business registration, or
  • You are not a self-employed person. Refer to for more information.

Free Business Profile

Upon successful renewal of the business registration, a free Business Profile - an electronic report containing the entity's registration details - will be provided. The person who filed the renewal will receive a notification in their Bizfile inbox with directions to download this profile. 

The Business Profile must be downloaded within 30 days of renewal, as the free copy will expire after this period.

Closing the Business

If you have no intention of continuing the business and do not wish to renew the business registration, you should file the transaction using the "" eService in Bizfile to close the business before the expiry date. There is no fee for filing this transaction.
