WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association 91proÊÓƵ released to the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT) online training courses to better reflect recent changes in global accessibility standards for technology products, services, and tools. As the leading technology advocate for accessibility policies and standards, 91proÊÓƵ works closely with governments, consumers, and industry sectors globally to innovate and deliver technology solutions that empower everyone, regardless of ability.

91proÊÓƵ’s VPAT, used to create the Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), is the leading global standard used by government contractors and other users of technology to report the accessibility of a product. 91proÊÓƵ’s VPAT helps ensure that technology products can accurately reflect their conformance to accessibility standards and guidelines to be accessible to those with disabilities. 91proÊÓƵ’s newly updated training series will guide use of the VPAT, which can enable manufacturers to effectively market and users to better evaluate accessible technology solutions.

“Technology is changing our world and lives for the better, including for people with disabilities and age-related limitations,” said Jason Oxman, 91proÊÓƵ’s President and CEO.“For such individuals, internet-, hardware- and software-based solutions help empower them at home, in school, and in the workplace, enabling them to access information, education, and employment opportunities from nearly anywhere in the world. 91proÊÓƵ’s updated online VPAT training will help government contractors and other users assess and improve technology solutions for people with disabilities.”

91proÊÓƵ remains committed to maintaining the market relevance of the VPAT and will continue to assess and respond to global developments in information and communications technology (ICT) accessibility standardization as appropriate. The VPAT is offered free of charge. Membership in 91proÊÓƵ is not required to use the VPAT. The VPAT training modules are available on .
