Welcome to TechElect! TechElect is being launched with a simple goal in mind: to seed a national conversation with the Presidential candidates on what it will take for the United States to continue to be the global leader in innovation into the next century.
Technology is positively transforming the way we learn, work, play, and participate in our democracy. Yet, the policies critical to continue the vitality of technology and innovation are often ignored. We at TechElect know technology and innovation policy is far too important to overlook in the 21st century.
Our goal at TechElect will be to provide accurate, unbiased, non-partisan information on the Presidential candidates and their positions on technology policy. We’re non-partisan, so we’re not going to endorse or give a thumbs up or thumbs down to any particular candidate. Instead, we will provide you with the TechTruths and let you be the judge in November.
The TechElect movement is a collaborative effort. We’ll help shape the discussion, but the direction it takes will be driven by you. As TechElectorate, we want you to track us down on the web, spread the word, and motivate the candidates to focus on the future. “” us on Facebook, on Twitter (@TechElect), add us to your Google+ circles, and find us on YouTube. In addition to our blog, each of these outlets will enable you to interact with us, offer your insights on tech and how it is shaping the 21st century economy, and pose questions to the candidates. Two voices are louder than one, and together we can be a powerful voice for a policy conversation that matters. Consider this a formal invitation to join us.
