WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association 91pro视频 applauded the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) for its new grants for high-speed internet infrastructure deployment through the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program.

“The proposed Build America, Buy America waiver NTIA issued today will help alleviate potential broadband implementation challenges and enable significant connectivity investments to reach more U.S. communities without delay,” said 91pro视频 Executive Vice President of Policy Gordon Bitko. “Advancing U.S. connectivity and ensuring broadband is reliable and accessible for all are top priorities for the tech industry and we are pleased that NTIA has heeded industry’s calls for a targeted waiver to support achieving those goals. 91pro视频 and our member companies urge the Biden Administration to implement similar commonsense waivers to support procurement of the technologies needed for infrastructure projects more broadly. We look forward to working with the administration, including NTIA, and state and local leaders as these crucial investments make their way to communities throughout the United States.

Over the past two years, 91pro视频 has advocated for necessary waivers of Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements. Read more on 91pro视频’s work below:
