WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association 91proÊÓƵ welcomed the Biden Administration’s release of the National Spectrum Strategy and Presidential Memorandum on spectrum, which will improve U.S. federal government coordination of spectrum and support investment and innovation in next generation networks. 91proÊÓƵ’s President and CEO Jason Oxman represented the global tech industry at the White House launch event today.
“A comprehensive and thorough approach to free up more spectrum for commercial use is critical to ensure continued access to wireless services that underpin innovative devices and applications that consumers and businesses rely on every day,” said 91proÊÓƵ’s President and CEO Jason Oxman.“The Biden Administration’s clear leadership and reaffirmation of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) role in spectrum coordination will help drive consensus and address spectrum disputes early in the process. The administration has also rightly recognized how advances in technology can help better maximize the use of finite spectrum resources and the tech industry is eager to participate in these public-private partnerships to enhance spectrum management, access, and sharing. Now the hard work begins, and 91proÊÓƵ looks forward to engaging with the White House, NTIA, and the Federal Communications Commission to help bring this ambitious plan to fruition.”
