WASHINGTON — Today, global tech trade association 91proÊÓƵ welcomed the introduction of the Equal Access to Green cards for Legal Employment (EAGLE) Act of 2021 by Rep. Lofgren (D-CA) and Rep. Curtis (R-UT), which would eliminate arbitrary per-country caps on employment-based immigrant visas.

“As the U.S. seeks to advance its economic growth and global competitiveness, it must ensure that its employers are able to attract and retain the best highly educated and high-skilled employees, no matter where they’re from,” said Jason Oxman, 91proÊÓƵ President and CEO. “Removing the antiquated per-country limits on employment-based visas is critical to furthering U.S. innovation and job growth. We commend Representatives Lofgren and Curtis for their tireless leadership on this issue and urge the U.S. Congress to quickly pass this legislation.
