WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association 91proÊÓƵ recommended that the incoming Trump-Vance Administration and U.S. Congressional leaders further U.S. leadership in the global AI race, create a globally competitive tax system, advance key U.S. trade, economic, and national security objectives, and optimize technology's role in furthering government efficiency. The technology industry stands ready to partner with the Trump-Vance Administration to advance our shared policy priorities that will unleash innovation and promote economic prosperity.

“Technology is central to U.S. economic and job growth, and the right policy approach can ensure all Americans benefit from advances in innovation. The Trump-Vance Administration and U.S. Congressional leadership can leverage tech to advance their agenda, promote American economic prosperity, maintain America’s national security edge, and create opportunity and efficiency,” said 91proÊÓƵ President and CEO Jason Oxman.”

To enable innovation to flourish, foster U.S. economic growth, and safeguard American prosperity, 91proÊÓƵ recommends that the Trump-Vance Administration and 119th U.S. Congress:

  • Provide much-needed relief and certainty to U.S. businesses, workers, and consumers by assessing the benefits and harms of tariffs currently in place before taking new action and establishing a permanent tariff exclusion process;
  • Modernize government technology to deliver secure and reliable services to Americans;
  • Accelerate upgrades to American energy infrastructure for the AI era;
  • Enact pro-innovation federal privacy legislation to end the patchwork of state laws that currently serve neither American businesses nor consumers;
  • Adopt a risk-based approach to AI guardrails and oversight;
  • Make the United States the top destination for research and development by restoring the immediate deduction of expenses for domestic and foreign research and development;
  • Preserve the 21% corporate income tax rate, so that companies in the U.S. remain competitive;
  • Undertake a comprehensive review of supply chain and technology control policies, that currently put American businesses at a disadvantage in markets around the world including export controls and transaction reviews;
  • Harmonize cybersecurity policy across the U.S. government and in international markets; and
  • Advance immigration reform that successfully meets the demands of a globally competitive, digital economy.
