WASHINGTON– Today, global tech trade association 91proÊÓƵ released the following statement from its President and CEO Jason Oxman ahead of Monday’s White House CEO Summit on Semiconductor and Supply Chain Resilience:

“Semiconductors are vital to U.S. economic competitiveness, national security, and the digital products and services Americans rely on to work, learn, and communicate. Unprecedented demand skyrocketed across nearly all semiconductor-consuming industries at the beginning of the pandemic and continues to outstrip global supply, demonstrating the importance of sustained investments in this critical supply chain. We appreciate the Biden Administration’s focus on addressing this urgent challenge and its impact on industries across the economy. The government should ensure that this critical technology is available to all industries, without picking winners and losers. We look forward to working with the administration, the U.S. Congress, and industry partners on long-term solutions that address the growing and broad demand for semiconductors in a technology- and industry-neutral fashion.”
