“Alongside proper incentives, resources, and workforce development, policies that promote an open digital and ICT ecosystem are essential to attracting necessary investment. 91proÊÓƵ greatly appreciated the chance to deepen our trade engagement on supply chain issues with the U.S. and Mexican governments. As both governments look to improve the resiliency of global ICT supply chains and further integrate North American supply chains, we strongly encourage adherence to the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement commitments and the elimination of market access barriers to ICT goods and components to engender business certainty and facilitate access to productivity-enhancing goods and services for all sectors of North America. Further, we urge Mexico to incentivize and attract investment broadly in semiconductors as well as the production of products, parts and components for ICT manufacturing more broadly. Doing so can not only help address ongoing resiliency challenges but will create greater opportunities to increase Mexico’s competitiveness.”
